maintainers and by users of USENET.

Clari.net from Clari Communications Corporation provides news (i.e. current events!) via web or as a news (nntp) feed to institutions, corporations, and ISPs. I.e., they don't supply a usenet feed, but supply a feed with clari. newsgroups. Individuals interested in receiving a Clari. feed should ask their provider to subscribe or check the list of ISPs that subscribe to Clari.
news.gmane.org hosts GMANE (GNU Mail To News And Back Again) newsgroups. GMANE archives mailing lists as newsgroups and allows posts via nntp to be mirrored to the list.
